James,
Do you still have a big long list of all the board games that we have with those descriptions that you had written?
questinglibrarian // November 12, 2007 at 4:29 pm |
Hi Natalie,

But I can’t find the search function, cause I want faster find the topics that could be intresting for me to express my opinion…
Please help me with search function on this forum!
questinglibrarian // October 6, 2008 at 11:30 am |
Hi Reattyswosist,
The search box is in the upper right corner of the blog. It’s the first item in the sidebar. It says “To search, type and hit enter”. You can also browse the categories and tags in the sidebar for what has been indexed in the blog. Hope this helps you! Thanks for reading the Gaming Zone Blog. :)

Sorry for moving from the topic, but has anyone viewed this roulette vid on youtube? Unbelievable winner $1125 in 5 minutes!!! Has any of you attempted this method or know it is workable?
I play a bit of offline roulette for fun, but not internet roulette as of now. I apoligize for my not good English.

questinglibrarian // February 12, 2009 at 2:24 pm |
Hi Myah,
We’re glad that you’re enjoying the GZ Blog! Check back anytime for the latest gaming happenings @ your library!
questinglibrarian // February 16, 2009 at 2:43 pm |
Hi Marishkastarova,
The library does not have any games that are available for download but there are movies that you can download via Overdrive or the PBS Video Collection you can view in streaming video online. Go to http://www.plcmc.org/Online/ and select either Overdrive or the PBS Video Collection. You must have a library card to access these resources outside the library. Overdrive has a variety of documentary, feature film and children’s videos ready for download.
There are lots of websites that let you play games online for free or that offer a free download of their game. Check out the article I wrote describing them in this post: http://thegamingzone.wordpress.com/2008/07/07/online-games/
or Ian’s article: http://thegamingzone.wordpress.com/2009/02/04/browser-based-warfare/
Happy Gaming!

Are there any Yu-Gi-Oh type events coming up?
questinglibrarian // June 19, 2009 at 5:24 pm |
Hi Chris,
I checked and there aren’t any specifically geared to Yu-Gi-Oh but you can keyword search our PLCMC events calendar here: http://www.plcmc.org/Programs/ Try keyword searching for anime or manga. Here are the results I got: anime – http://www.plcmc.org/Programs/programlisting.asp?form_keyword=anime&progtype1=&ln1=3%2C2%2C4%2C5%2C7%2C8%2C9%2C0%2C10%2C1%2C11%2C12%2C23%2C13%2C14%2C15%2C24%2C6%2C16%2C17%2C18%2C19%2C20%2C21%2C22&ds1=&de1=&x=24&y=3
manga – http://www.plcmc.org/Programs/programlisting.asp?form_keyword=manga&progtype1=&ln1=3%2C2%2C4%2C5%2C7%2C8%2C9%2C0%2C10%2C1%2C11%2C12%2C23%2C13%2C14%2C15%2C24%2C6%2C16%2C17%2C18%2C19%2C20%2C21%2C22&ds1=&de1=&x=0&y=0
Hopefully you’ll find something that you enjoy. It looks like quite a few branches will have anime and manga programming this summer.
Chris // June 22, 2009 at 1:06 pm |
Actually, I meant the Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card game. =)
questinglibrarian // June 22, 2009 at 4:00 pm |
I spoke with our YA Librarians and they said that your best bet for Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card game sessions is to come to one of our Anime clubs. They said that Mountain Island Library and Morrison Regional Library both have established anime clubs that feature Yu-Gi-Oh sometimes in their sessions. It looks like Morrison’s anime club meets on the first Thursday night of the month at 6pm. http://www.plcmc.org/Programs/programlisting.asp?form_keyword=anime&progtype1=&ln1=23&ds1=&de1=&x=27&y=8
Mountain Island’s anime club looks like it is the first Monday night of the month at 6:30 pm. http://www.plcmc.org/Programs/programlisting.asp?form_keyword=anime&progtype1=&ln1=13&ds1=&de1=&x=18&y=10
Here are the phone numbers for more information: Mountain Island – (704) 416-5600 and Morrison Regional – (704) 416-5400. Here is a list of all the locations with directions: http://www.plcmc.org/Locations/ I hope that they have what you are looking for!
